وَإِذْ نَجَّيْنَاكُمْ مِنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ يُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَاءَكُمْ وَفِي ذَلِكُمْ بَلاءٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ
The first stage in this ‘divine sociology is when bani israil are delivered from the hard life with bad pain (yasumunakum soo’al adzab). This seems to a coincide with the slaughtering of the abnaa (a movement like dynamic) and the keeping of nisa alive (i.e. a state where independence is suppressed.
This is said to be a tremendous trial. Allah delivered them from this state, showing that this is the first stage towards preferredness/tafadhdhal.
