2:72
وَإِذْ قَتَلْتُمْ نَفْسًا فَادَّارَأْتُمْ فِيهَا وَاللَّهُ مُخْرِجٌ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ
Here I believe its the neutralisation of the soul, i.e. the neglect of the soul’s development. These people then fell into dispute due to forgetting that (feeha). Allah thus brought forth what they hid.
I am not decided on the huwa in the adribuhu in 2/73 although the hiya (bi ba3dhiha) refers to the nafs. The nafs is the key to bringing the nation to life.
2/74 talks about the hearts becoming hardened thus showing resistance to change although even rocks can burst with the flow eventually. 13/17 will link strongly with this
2/75 shows that people who practice tahreef (like in 5/41-42 but in a different context) will not listen to kalam Allah (which refers to signs) perhaps. Ba3dha aqluhu shows they only thought of it once.
