(ش ر ك) Shirk/Association/Partnerships in Ch 18

1 – 18:26
Here, the taking of Allah as a ‘waliy’ or guardian is mentioned with taking a partner in Allah’s hukm or governance. It is emphasised that He does not associate anyone in His hukm.
2 – 18:38
Once again ‘ahada’ (one or anyone in ontext) is mentioned, this time with regards to the rabubiyah/lordship of Allah.
3 – 18:42
Once again the ‘ahada’ phraseology is given, this time mentioned with the maghfirah/protection of Allah. Shirk leads to the forsaking of maghfirah.
4 – 18:52
In this aya, another word (nadaa) is used in the ‘invocation’ of the shuraka. They did not answer the call and a barrier was placed in between them.
5 – 18:110
The ‘ahada’ phraseology again, this time with regards to the humanity of the Reader and his experience of wahy.
