(ر ح م) Rahama/Womb/Womblike in Ch 3

1 – 3:0
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In this context, the RnR is closest to the alif laam meem process and the invocation of Allah as al-hayy al-qayyum (3/1-2).
2 – 3:6
هُوَ الَّذِي يُصَوِّرُكُمْ فِي الأَرْحَامِ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
After the process of 3/1-5, the ‘arham’ of wombs here shows the womb of life which we experience if we practice the revelation given to us.
3 – 3:8
رَبَّنَا لا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ
After 3/7 (a key verse with the muhkamat/mutashabihat verses), we acknowledge that its in the sight of Allah ‘rahmah’ exists, the means of evolution.
4- 3:31
قُلْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
Almost at the closing of this passage, following the Reader will invoke His love and projection and He is the protector and the evolver (ghafurun raheem)
5 – 3:74
يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ
In this context, those who recieve the direct guidance of Allah (as per 3/73) are specially chosen for this state of evolution or rahmah.
6- 3:89
إِلا الَّذِينَ تَابُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
The absolute value of divine projection and evolution (ghafurun raheem) is given to those who return and reform.
7- 3:107
وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ ابْيَضَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ فَفِي رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
The phrase ‘rahmatillah’ is used for the first time denoting juddgement day. Perhaps this is the ultimate rahmah/state of evolution.
8- 3:129
وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ يَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
We are reminded of Allah’s capacity to protect and punish and it is linked to Him being ‘ghafurun raheem’.
9 – 3:132
وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
Those who obey Allah and the messenger may be evolved. The context of this is giving up gains made from oppression, riba.
10 – 3:157
وَلَئِنْ قُتِلْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ مُتُّمْ لَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَحْمَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ
Those who neutralise themselves in the path of Allah will be given divine protection and a state of evolution.
11 – 3:159
فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ لِنْتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنْتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لانْفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِكَ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
By giving those with the messenger a chance to confer, he is facilitating for them a state of evolution.
